Active Yet Sedentary

Despite their excitability and cuteness overload, the Bichon doesn’t really require too much daily activity. They can stand to have a few walks a day, along with some play time and they’re happy and content. Bichons get along swimmingly well with people of all ages. They are the perfect companion for kids and adults, because they are simply joyful and lovable. Apartment dwellers can easily take home one of our Bichon puppies and live comfortably together, especially since they don’t require a lot of space nor vigorous exercise.

Okay, so here’s the thing with the Bichon puppy. They are easy to train, when it comes to tricks and commands. You’ll find that they love to please and respond well to positive reinforcement and treats. Because Bichons are big time barkers, they will benefit most with having formal training. They aren’t aggressive barkers, just the kind to alert you of…everything!

Now, on the flip side Bichons are notoriously difficult to house train. Crate training is recommended or you might consider a professional. If the latter isn’t possible, no worries. You just need to be consistent and patient.
