One of the oldest breeds still in existence, the Pug has been all over the world after starting out in China in 400 BC. - Hearty and active, the Pug is an ideal addition for families with children of all ages and temperaments. It takes a lot to bowl over a sturdy 25lb Pug with a hard head and playful disposition! And even though they are up for anything, they don’t require long exercise periods and are just as content to lounge on the couch as they are to compete in a rousing game of fetch.
- Pugs come in fawn, apricot fawn and silver fawn, all with back masks or they can also be all black as well. Weighing in around 16-25lbs, if they haven’t eaten themselves overweight that is, Pugs have a nice long life of 12-15 years.
- The easygoing Pug does well with other pets in the household, even of the feline variety, and are not usually territorial or aggressive, except when it sometimes comes down to their food! The Pug sure does love to eat!
